Each year, ACSC holds an open house for the extended families of all members. Special exhibits are given by Kentucky Dept. of Fish and Wildlife along with other civic organizations. Scheduled for August of this year, we'll be cooking out and having shooting instruction on several of the ranges.

There are currently about two million American women who hunt and an additional four million who enjoy target shooting. These numbers are steadily increasing. Fulfilling its mission to "create opportunities, encourage, educate, and mentor women's responsible participation in the recreational shooting and hunting sports," Women On TargetŪ is helping women learn shooting and hunting skills in a safe and supportive women-only atmosphere!

Orion Club Youth Events
Jan 30, 2007 by JerryC | Add commentORION Club Youth Events - "Orion" stands for Outdoor Recreational Instruction On Nature. Each of our classes will be an in depth study on various subjects with a practical demonstration of what we have learned. We will have instruction on ethics, use of calls, lures and scents in hunting, game identification, field care of game, survival and first aid skills, fishing equipment and techniques, boating safety, and boating certification for those who wish to receive it. In addition, hunting techniques, tracking and scouting, and an overnight camp out using the newly learned skills will be scheduled. Of course there will be instruction on firearms (modern and blackpowder) and archery. The program is open to the public and free of charge.
Squirrel Rifle Shoots

Special Needs Children Fishing Day

This event is made possible by donations from ACSC, local businesses and the Ky Dept. for Fish and Wildlife. Meet us at 9 am for boat rides, fishing and lots of food. Christmas Fund
